The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004(IDEA 2004), Section 616, requires all states to make determinations on the performance of their local districts with regard to the provision of special education and related service. The Illinois State Board of Education has reviewed the following data from the 2007-2008 school year. Based upon these data, the Illinois State Board of Education has determined that Opdyke-Belle Rive CCSD 5 has received the designation of Meets Requirements in implementing one or more of the requirements of IDEA. ![]() The Belle Rive Attendance Center once again received notification from Dr. Christopher Koch, Illinois State Superintendent of Education, that they earned the distinction as a 2008 Academic Excellence School on the Illinois Honor Roll. This is the third year that we have received this award. The Belle Rive Attendance Center was 1 of 388 schools in Illinois to receive this distinction and 1 of 27 schools to receive the award for 3 consecutive years. This award was based upon meeting Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2007-2008 and meeting or exceeding grade level standards on state assessments at 90% or higher for the past three years in reading and math. |
